PocketMetro 2.1 now available for BlackBerry™ devices

ClockLabs Ltd's flagship product guides BlackBerry™ users in the New York Subway, the London Tube, the Paris Metro and the Berlin S-Bahn.

London, UK, March 12, 2005
ClockLabs Ltd today introduces a version of PocketMetro 2.1 tailored to the needs of BlackBerry™ users: PocketMetro 2.1 BlackBerry™ Edition.

BlackBerry™ devices integrate software and hardware components into a wireless connectivity solution allowing users to stay connected with seamless access to email, corporate data, phone, web and organizer features. Unlike other smartphones, a BlackBerry™ device leverages an award winning, integrated network infrastructure to keep mobile professionals connected to the people, data and resources that drive their day. Everything is ready to work and there is no need to mess around with third-party software, incompatible network protocols or restrictive corporate firewalls.

For mobile professionals, navigating the subway can be frustrating at times: in the middle of it all, finding the right path is always nearly impossible. With an integrated description of each public transportation network, PocketMetro 2.1 BlackBerry™ Edition can compute the shortest travel between two tube or light rail stations, instantaneously. It gives its user a complete roadmap between the start station and the end station, including the line changes. PocketMetro 2.1 BlackBerry™ Edition also takes into account the current day and time, so it can avoid closed stations and take the express lines. The large screen of most BlackBerry™ models makes it possible to display a complete roadmap without having to scroll.

Compatibility

Like other applications from ClockLabs Ltd, the PocketMetro 2.1 BlackBerry™ Edition was designed to be simple and reliable. It has been verified to work on most releases of the BlackBerry OS, from the 3.2.1 to the brand-new 4.0.

Availability

PocketMetro 2.1 BlackBerry™ Edition is available for New York, London, Paris and Berlin, and more cities are on the way. Fully-functional trial versions can be downloaded for free from http://www.clocklabs.com or directly to a BlackBerry™ device from http://wap.clocklabs.com.

PocketMetro 2.1 is also available for mobile phones that support the Java™ language.
