Berlin

The city of Berlin is a dream for any traveller: it is granted with one of most extensive, modern and efficient public transportation system in the world. The whole system was totally overhauled and rebuilt after the reunification. The historical center and the suburbs are connected by:
- 9 underground lines (the U-Bahn system),
- 15 light rail lines (the S-Bahn system),
- 28 tram lines,
- 163 bus lines,
- 6 ferries.
The S-Bahn and the U-Bahn are connected through 255 stations, so a traveller can easily change lines to get to her destination. The S-Bahn and the U-Bahn operate between 4.00 and midnight. Many lines operates all night during the weekend, starting Friday night.
